This Moment in Thyme

Hi, I’m a Montecito-based cook, host, and creative entrepreneur passionate about bringing people together through beautifully curated culinary experiences. I enjoy hosting intimate cooking classes and lifestyle events in my home, blending seasonal cooking, wellness, and thoughtful brand partnerships. I host both community group cooking classes and private culinary experiences throughout Montecito and Santa Barbara. I love creating elevated yet approachable experiences that feel inspiring, welcoming, and deeply personal.

I’m a mom to four boys, so there’s a lot of food being made in our house every day! I believe cooking should be a shared family experience, and that making dinner should never fall on just one person. I’m a big believer in getting kids into the kitchen from an early age and teaching them the skills they need to feed themselves. In my house, my boys should know how to clean and roast their own chicken by the time they’re 12!

My husband and I both work, and with four boys, meal planning is an essential part of our family life. Most Sundays, we sit down and plan out the week ahead. Sometimes that means pulling out a few of my favorite cookbooks, and other times it means making the meals we know our family loves—dinners that will fill my boys up while also nourishing their growing bodies.

My goal is to make meal planning, cooking dinner, and hosting feel as approachable and enjoyable as possible. My style of cooking is simple, seasonal, and very herb-heavy—I really do love my herbs (can’t you tell from a name like This Moment in Thyme?!).

I’m so happy you’ve landed here, and I hope I have the pleasure of cooking with you someday. If you’re not local, come join me over on my Substack. It’s free to subscribe, or you can become a paid subscriber for $5/month, which is always greatly appreciated. I host monthly live cooking classes, share recipes, and love connecting with the people who follow along.

And if you ever have a question or just want to say hello, send me an email. I’d love to connect: thismomentinthyme@gmail.com

Where food and community come together

Cooking is so much more than just making food. It’s a time for connection, laughter, and creating memories that last. My goal is for cooking to feel like something you look forward to—not a chore. Whether your toddler’s stirring the pot or your teen’s chopping veggies, the kitchen becomes a space where the whole family can come together. It’s about more than just the meal—it’s about building stronger bonds with the people you love, and making moments that matter.
